MACAO, July 18 (Xinhua) -- The 63rd Macao Grand Prix motor racing will be held on Nov. 17-20, the organizing committee of Macao's most famous annual sporting event said on Tuesday.
According to the Macao Grand Prix Organizing Committee, the event will begin with two practice and qualifying days on Nov. 17 and 18, while races will be held on Nov. 19 and 20. Tickets range from 50 patacas (about 6.5 U. S. dollars) for practice days up to 900 patacas (112.7 U.S. dollars) for each of the race days.
President of Macao Sports Bureau Pun Weng Kun said the success of this international event has relied upon the vital support and cooperation of the Macao Special Administrative Region government and professional associations. This year's event will continue to coordinate the preparation work between government departments and professional partners to ensure exciting and thrilling races for audiences.
The 62nd Macao Grand Prix in 2015 hit a record of 53 million patacas (6.64 million U.S. dollars) in revenues. More than 80,000 visitors filled the grandstands, while over 1,000 media representatives from 19 countries and regions covered the event.
Some 934 separate broadcast platforms produced a total of 752 hours news report to millions of world audience.
