BRUSSELS, July 15 (Xinhua) -- The seasonaly-adjusted trade surplus in the 19-country eurozone declined in May, Eurostat said Friday.
The euro area seasonally adjusted exports decreased by 1.9 percent and imports by 1.5 percent in May compared with the previous month.
As a result, the seasonally adjusted trade surplus declined to 24.5 billion euros (27.23 billion U.S. dollars) in May from 25.4 billion euros in April.
In the 28-country European Union, exports fell by adjusted 1.9 percent on month and imports by 3.7 percent, leading to an increase of trade surplus of 5.6 billion euros from 3.2 billion euros. Enditem
