HANOI, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam will compete at the Southeast Asian Junior Women's Volleyball Championship in Thailand scheduled to take place from Saturday to next Wednesday.
The tournament draws the participation of eight teams being divided into two groups. Vietnam is in Group B together with Indonesia, Australia and Malaysia.
Group A includes the host Thailand, the Philippines, New Zealand and Singapore.
The Vietnamese players include those with outstanding performance at recent Vietnam's national championship for junior teams. They started training for the Southeast Asian event in early June, reported Vietnam News on Friday.
After the event, the Vietnamese junior team will participate in the 18th Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship also in Thailand during July 23-31.
