TEHRAN, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Wednesday dismissed as "repetitive and unfounded" the recent intervention allegations by Bahrain, Tasnim news agency reported.

A statement by the Bahraini interior ministry on Monday alleged the links between Iran and two individuals arrested recently in Bahrain on charges of planting a bomb in East Eker, which led to the killing of a woman.

The claims are "repetitive, false and baseless" and Manama is better to address its domestic problems instead of raising allegations against Tehran, Qasemi said.

"Unfortunately, the Bahraini government's objective behind raising such false and fabricated allegations is to divert attentions from its domestic crisis and escape public accountability," he was quoted as saying.

Bahrain severed diplomatic relations with Iran in January, accusing Iran of interference in its domestic affairs. Iran has rejected the accusations. Enditem
