LA PAZ, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales announced Monday that he will open a school to teach "anti-imperialist doctrine" to the country's armed forces on Aug. 17, the Bolivian Flag Day.

At a press conference, Morales said it was important for the country to have an anti-imperialist school which allows for "economic, political, social, cultural and ideological liberation."

"It is our obligation to create these schools in order to ideologically reclaim our identity as every country has their own unique nature," he said, adding that this school can help to revisit the history of the people of the region.

The school would be opened in the city of Santa Cruz in eastern Bolivia and named after former President Juan Jose Torres.
