WUHAN, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Eleven tourists who lost their way in a forest in central China have been found safe and sound, local authorities said Friday.
Contact was lost with the group of photographers, from east China's Zhejiang Province, at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, while they were exploring an unpopulated area in Shennongjia Forest District, Hubei Province. They were in the company of a local tour guide, according to the local fire department.
Two rescue teams consisting of more than 30 people battled thick fog and rain to search a steep hillside. The group, although disorientated were not injured, was found around 11 a.m. Friday.
