MANAMA, July 1 (Xinhua) -- A Bahraini woman was killed and three children injured in a roadside bombing in East Eker village in Bahrain.
Officials on Friday said the car in which the four persons were travelling was hit by shrapnel from the blast.
"A terrorist bombing killed a Bahraini woman and injured three children who were with her in the car," the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
The crime scene team and other security authorities responded to the blast area shortly after the case was reported to the Operations Room on Thursday night."
The Ministry said they have launched an investigation to identify and arrest those involved in the bombing.
A policeman was killed in a "terrorist attack" in the village of Karbabad in April this year after a police patrol was attacked with firebombs.
