MANILA, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Rodrigo Duterte was sworn in as the 16th president of the Philippines on Thursday.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Bienvenido Reyes administered the oath of office at the Rizal Ceremonial Hall in Malacanang, the presidential palace.
