TOKYO, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares closed higher Thursday morning as anxiety over economic outlook after Britain voted to leave the European Union last week was receding.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 127.98 points, or 0.82 percent, from Wednesday to 15,694.81.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 8.04 points, or 0.64 percent, to 1,255.73.
Gainers were led by mining, securities and other financial stock issues.
