GUANGZHOU, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Two tankers carrying chemicals caught fire after one rear-ended the other on an expressway in south China's Guangdong Province on Saturday, killing two people on board.
The accident happened at 6:32 a.m. on an expressway section linking the cities of Maoming and Guangzhou. One of the trucks was carrying 32 tonnes of styrene and the other was solvent oil, local police said.
The chemicals were destroyed in the fire and did not leak or contaminate the environment. Rescuers are dealing with the aftermath.
