BEIJING, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday extended condolences to his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama on Sunday's deadly shooting in Orlando, Florida.

UNITED NATIONS, June 12 (Xinhua) -- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Sunday condemned the "horrific attack" in Orlando in the U.S. state of Florida, in which 50 people were killed earlier in the day.

The secretary-general "extends his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and expresses his solidarity with the government and people of the United States," said a statement issued here by Ban's spokesman. Full story
