WASHINGTON, June 12 (Xinhua) -- At least 42 people were taken to hospitals after the shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando in the state of Florida early Sunday, leaving multiple fatalities, said Orlando Police Chief John Mina.
The police twittered earlier that the gunman was dead.
