BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- A kindling “Imagination Roadshow” was staged as an “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” brand activity, attended by prominent science fiction writers including He Xi, Wang Xiaoda and six others of the country on Thursday, in Chengdu, southwest China.
He Xi, the fifteen-times “Milky Way China Science Fiction Award” winner, analyzed his own literary science fiction work, while 77-year-old science fiction writer Wang Xiaoda successively performed during the roadshow.
Another writer Han Song, delegated by his copyright agent, showcased a science fiction-oriented VR game based on his fiction Cold War and Messenger, and won popularity among investors.
Lu Chuan, a famous director, playwright and producer, with his latest documentary film “Born in China”, was also the guest of this roadshow. He shared his views on science fiction films, saying, “Science fiction films are a must for Chinese films because they carry our dreams and embody the spirit of exploring the future and the unknown.”
In this “Imagination Roadshow”, science fiction writers, investors and film agencies reached a series of preliminary agreements on further development and utilization of science fiction works through direct communication.
This roadshow is one of the highlights of 2016 Chengdu International Science Fiction Film Week, sponsored by Xinhuanet, and co-sponsored by Poly Culture Group, Emei Film Group and IDG Capital Partners.
