PARIS, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Dimitri Payet finished a brilliant free-kick to rescue Marseille in a 1-1 tie against Ligue 1 relegation-threatened Dijon at home on Saturday.

Dijon, who were above the bottom three team on goal difference, surprisingly built a lead on Gregory Sertic's own goal in the first-half injury time.

Marseille, still hunting for a Europa League berth next season, came back into the game three minutes after the interval, as Payet fired home a free-kick about 30 meters away into the left corner. It was his fourth goal after joining Marseille during winter transfer window.

Nailing just one point, Marseille may expect their gap from fouth-ranked Lyon extended as the latter will visit Rennes on Sunday.

Also on Saturday, Bastia were firmly locked on their 19th position with a 1-0 home loss to Lille.

Third-placed Nice could provisionally cut the deficit from Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain. The league's top two teams had a highly-anticipated final on Saturday, where PSG claimed their fourth straight title in the tournament with a 4-1 win.
